Project Overview
The mining-specific heavy steel structure project customized for the leading mining group in South America is a benchmark-level supporting project in the central mining belt of Chile. It strictly follows the NCh Chile National Steel Structure Standards and mining safety regulations throughout the process. Special structural optimizations have been made in response to the geographical environment of high altitude, strong ultraviolet rays, coastal high salt fog, and frequent earthquakes in Chile, achieving an exclusive design for mining scenarios with ultra-high load-bearing capacity, strong corrosion resistance, and high seismic resistance. It provides a full-cycle one-stop service from customized design for mining scenarios, factory prefabrication production, to on-site installation supervision.
Key highlights of the project
- Heavy-duty and heavy-load steel structure design. The factory is equipped with double-beam 50-ton heavy-duty crane beams. The main structure uses special high-yield strength steel, fully meeting the dynamic and static load requirements of heavy mining equipment.
- Special protection for extreme environments. All components are treated with hot-dip galvanizing and heavy-duty fluorocarbon coating. They are suitable for high-altitude, strong ultraviolet radiation, and coastal high-salt spray environments, with a corrosion protection level reaching the highest standard of C5-M in the mining industry.
- High seismic resistance and safety design. The seismic grade complies with the 9-degree seismic code of Chile. It is equipped with mining-specific fire protection, explosion-proof, and anti-static steel structure pre-embedded systems, and has fully passed all-item acceptance by the Chilean mining safety regulatory authorities.
- Modular prefabrication and standardized production. On-site dry construction without welding. This significantly reduces the high labor costs in South America. The entire project was delivered in just 5 months, which is over 50% shorter than the local traditional construction period. Spanish-language full-time technical support is provided.
